Hello Wonderful People!
Today I actually got up a little early and look halfway decent. It's amazing what some mascara and a cute hair-do can do.
Also... MY HAIR IS GETTING LONG. This is a big deal for me because my hair has grown about 2 inches in 3 years, so yeah.
Here are some secrets to my success...
1) Take a break from heat. Seriously, all summer I only used heat on my hair about 5 times. I found some ways to get wavy hair without heat and just continued doing that so I wouldn't look totally ghetto.
2) Learn how to do heatless curls or waves. There are MANY techniques, and when I have time, I will give yall a list of all the techniques I use.
3) Use restoring products such as heat protectant, spit end protectant, hair treatments, coconut oil, etc. The possibilities are endless. Once again, I'll do another post about what products I do and don't like.
4) Take Biotin or other nail/skin/hair helper pills. It's at an drug store and is pretty cheap.
5) Don't wash your hair as much. I know what you're thinking...EW, but hear me out. The oils that develop on your scalp are really beneficial for hair growth and scalp healthiness, but no one wants that nasty greasy look, so go buy some dry shampoo. I will show you what brand I use in the next post.
6) Also, I have been using Mane N Tail shampoo and conditioner and I love it. More on that in the next post.
7) One that I don't follow but I know helps is reducing the amount of chemicals on your hair. I have ombre hair, so I'm not really following this one, but the combination of bleach/dyes, and heat is a killer for your hair. Your hair will grow more without these chemicals.
These are just some of the things I do to get my hair to grow faster. If you have thin, brittle hair like me that breaks off easy, I would follow these. The biggest one I can stress is DON'T USE HEAT. It kills your ends and is very damaging.
These are just some insights on what makes my hair healthier. I've been extremely obsessed with my hair and have tried many different products, hairstyles, heatless ways to do things, and knows what works well and what doesn't, trust me.
